About the Breed & Temperament

Q: Is the Cane Corso good with children and other pets?

A: When properly socialized and raised, the Cane Corso can be excellent with children. They have a strong protective instinct and are often very patient with their family members. However, they are a large, powerful breed, and all interactions with young children and smaller pets should always be supervised.

Q: Do Cane Corsos need a lot of exercise?

A: They require moderate daily exercise. While they are not hyperactive, they do need a structured routine that includes a long, brisk walk and structured play (like fetch or obedience work). Mental stimulation is just as important as physical exercise to keep The Ultimate Guardian balanced and happy.

Q: Are Cane Corsos aggressive?

A: A well-bred Cane Corso from Rocca Fidele should be confident, stable, and highly discerning. They are not inherently aggressive; rather, they are natural guardians with a strong protective instinct. They should be aloof with strangers but never fearful or inappropriately reactive. Their temperament is determined by genetics, early socialization, and consistent training.

About the Rocca Fidele Process

Q: What is the average cost of a Rocca Fidele puppy?

A: The investment for a puppy from our program ranges from $1800 to $2500. This reflects our commitment to extensive health testing, premium nutrition, socialization, and lifelong support. We provide exceptional value rooted in our ethical breeding standard.

Q: Do you ship your puppies?

A: We strongly prefer that all approved families pick up their puppy in person. This allows for a final meeting, review of the contract, and ensures the puppy’s transition is as smooth as possible. We will discuss travel options with approved families on a case-by-case basis.

Q: How long is the typical waiting list?

A: Because we prioritize quality and carefully plan our breedings, our waiting list times can vary. We encourage serious applicants to submit a form as soon as possible to begin the compatibility review process.

Health & Care

Q: Are your puppies guaranteed against health issues?

A: Yes. We offer a two-year written health guarantee against severe, life-altering hereditary conditions. Our commitment to health is paramount, and this guarantee is backed by comprehensive OFA and genetic testing on all our breeding dogs.

Q: What is the estimated adult weight and height?

A: Cane Corsos are substantial. Males typically stand 25–27.5 inches at the shoulder and weigh 100–115+ pounds. Females are slightly smaller at 23.5–26 inches and weigh 90–110+ pounds.
